Ragnar Grippe

Ten Temperaments will once again be available on streaming platforms.

The work previously released on the BÌS label was commissioned by the Swedish Radio in 1981.

One can see this work as a sequel to Orchestra composed in 1980 at the Electronic Music Studio in Stockholm.

The name Ten temperaments refers to the different musical styles developed throughout the piece.

The piece is dedicated to my father Roland Grippe

Shifting Spirits was composed in 1996 commissioned by the Swedish Radio. Composed in Grippe's studio the name refers to immigrants seeking asylum, not knowing their fate.

My work as a teacher in Swedish made me see and experience the hardship these people went through making a very strong impression on me
