Why I'm not Quitting Yet Thomas Brag

YES Theory

I first encountered Ragnar Grippe in California

at the Center for Music Experiment, San Diego

in 1977 where he played Musique Douze.

This made a strong impression.

I have followed his career through the years.

I am pleased to see   these wonderful personal documentaries    available.

Dave Darlington on Ragnar Grippe

"No contemporary composer blends modernity with classic songwriting quite like Ragnar Grippe.

His mastery of traditional melody and rhythm, combined with his unique electronic palette and curiosity for exploring sonic spaces, makes his compositions truly stand out.

Every time I listen to his work, I embark on a journey, as each piece creates a complete and immersive world of its own."

Grippe's piece has a strong sense of personality, and its humanity is deeply absorbing. Electroacoustic experimentation needn't be lovely to be gripping, but here, it's both.
